The Wyoming Brewers Festival is the premier craft beer event in the state of Wyoming, held annually at the iconic Cheyenne Depot Plaza in downtown Cheyenne. The 2026 edition on June 19-20 marks the festival's milestone 30th anniversary, celebrating three decades as a Cheyenne tradition with a 1995 nostalgia theme.
The two-day festival runs Friday evening from 5 to 10 PM and Saturday afternoon from 3 to 7 PM, with VIP ticket holders gaining early entry on Saturday at 2 PM for an exclusive hour of one-on-one time with brewery representatives. General admission tickets run approximately $49, with VIP tickets around $80. More than 30 breweries from Wyoming and the surrounding region participate.
All proceeds from the Wyoming Brewers Festival support the restoration and preservation of the Historic Union Pacific Depot in downtown Cheyenne, making every beer sample a contribution to Wyoming history. The festival features live music, food vendors, and the distinctive atmosphere of the Depot Plaza surrounded by railroad heritage.
The Wyoming Brewers Festival was established around 1996, making the 2026 edition a milestone 30th anniversary celebration. From its beginning, the festival has been held at the Cheyenne Depot Plaza, adjacent to the Historic Union Pacific Depot — a stunning Romanesque Revival railroad station that serves as both the venue's centerpiece and the festival's charitable beneficiary.
The festival was created as a way to showcase Wyoming's brewing talent while raising funds to restore and maintain the historic depot. Over three decades, the event has grown from a small gathering to the state's premier beer festival, featuring more than 30 breweries from Wyoming and the region. The Cheyenne Depot Museum, housed in the historic station, benefits directly from festival proceeds.
For the 2026 anniversary edition, organizers are embracing a 1995 nostalgia theme — "Grab your flannel or tie-dye and let's celebrate like it's 1995!" — paying tribute to the festival's mid-90s origins. The Wyoming Brewers Festival has become deeply woven into Cheyenne's identity as a summer gathering that brings together craft beer culture, community spirit, and the preservation of Western railroad heritage.
