The Fredericksburg Craft Beer Festival is an annual craft beer celebration in the heart of Texas Hill Country, held at Marktplatz (Market Square) in downtown Fredericksburg. The 2026 edition marks the festival's 5th year. The two-day event kicks off Friday with the Texas Craft Beer Competition and Awards Dinner at Altstadt Brewery, followed by the main festival on Saturday from 11 AM to 6 PM.
More than 30 Texas craft breweries offer samples and beer for purchase. Tickets include three sample craft beer tastings, a festival souvenir glass, live music, a food court, cornhole, and more. All ages are welcome, though beer sampling is restricted to guests 21+. Organized by the Rotary Club of Fredericksburg Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and professionally managed by Creative Marketing Inc.
The Fredericksburg Craft Beer Festival was launched in 2022 by the Rotary Club of Fredericksburg Foundation as a celebration of Texas craft beer in one of the state's most charming destinations. Held at Marktplatz — the historic Market Square in downtown Fredericksburg that has been a community gathering place since the town's German settlers established it — the festival blends Hill Country hospitality with craft beer culture.
Now celebrating its 5th year, the festival has quickly established itself as a must-visit event for Texas beer enthusiasts. The addition of the Texas Craft Beer Competition on the Friday before the main festival gives breweries a chance to compete for recognition, while the Saturday celebration brings the community together for sampling, live music, and food.
