The Tahoe Brewfest is South Lake Tahoe's premier craft beer festival, bringing together 40+ breweries and beverage makers for an afternoon of sampling against the stunning backdrop of the Sierra Nevada mountains. The 9th Annual edition is set for Saturday, August 29, 2026, along Ski Run Boulevard, which is closed to traffic for the event. VIP ticket holders enjoy early entry at 11 AM, while General Admission runs from 1 PM to 5 PM.
All proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe and its year-round programs for local youth. The festival features craft brew tastings from Tahoe-area and regional breweries, live music, games, local food and craft vendors, mocktails, and kombucha. The event takes place outdoors on the boulevard stretching from Alder to Tamarack, creating a street-festival atmosphere in the heart of South Lake Tahoe's resort district.
The Tahoe Brewfest was launched in 2018 by Deb Brown, a professional brewer and owner of Coldwater Brewery in South Lake Tahoe. Brown envisioned a celebration that would showcase the mountain town's growing craft beer scene while giving back to the community. From its first year, the festival established its charitable mission, directing all proceeds to the Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe.
What started as a modest gathering of local breweries has grown into one of Lake Tahoe's signature summer events. The 5th annual edition in 2022 raised $50,000 for the Boys & Girls Club, and by the 7th anniversary in 2024, the festival raised over $125,000. The event's move to Ski Run Boulevard transformed the experience into a true street festival, with the boulevard closed to traffic and lined with brewery tents, food trucks, and artisan vendors.
The 9th Annual Tahoe Brewfest in 2026 continues to expand its reach, drawing 40+ breweries from throughout the Tahoe region and beyond. The combination of world-class mountain scenery, quality craft beer, live entertainment, and a meaningful charitable mission has made the Tahoe Brewfest a highlight of the South Lake Tahoe summer calendar.
