The Great Lakes Beer Festival is a fast-growing craft beer celebration held annually at Dow Diamond in Midland, Michigan — home of the Great Lakes Loons. The 2026 edition marks the festival's 5th year, featuring 70+ Michigan craft breweries, cideries, and distilleries for an afternoon of sampling, live music, and on-field activities starting at 2 PM.
General admission tickets ($49 advance, $59 at the door) include entry, live music, on-field activities, and 10 tasting tickets. VIP tickets ($89, advance only, limited quantities) add suite-level access with a food buffet, souvenir glass, A/C, exclusive restrooms, 15 tasting tickets, VIP parking, and early entry at 1 PM. The festival has been voted one of Michigan's top three beer festivals.
The Great Lakes Beer Festival burst onto Michigan's craft beer scene in 2022 when MI Brew Trail organized the inaugural event at Dow Diamond in Midland. The idea of hosting a beer festival inside a professional baseball stadium proved immediately popular — the combination of craft beer sampling with the unique atmosphere of a ballpark resonated with both beer enthusiasts and casual fans.
The first edition featured around 50 breweries and drew unexpectedly strong attendance. Within just a few years, the festival expanded to 70+ breweries and earned recognition as one of Michigan's top three beer festivals.
What sets the Great Lakes Beer Festival apart is the Dow Diamond experience. VIP ticket holders enjoy suite-level access with climate-controlled comfort, a food buffet, and exclusive amenities — a premium experience rarely available at outdoor beer festivals.
