The Maui Brewers Festival is one of Hawaii's premier craft beer events and the Maui Arts & Cultural Center's (MACC) signature annual fundraiser. Held at the Alexander & Baldwin Amphitheater on the MACC campus in Kahului, the festival brings together 30+ breweries from Hawaii and the mainland, offering more than 75 craft brews including many rare and specialty beers. The event also features free food from local Maui restaurants and caterers, live music, and island atmosphere. The 2025 edition is Saturday, May 17. Beer Lover VIP runs 2:00-3:30 PM ($150), followed by General Admission 3:30-7:00 PM ($85). Designated Driver tickets are $65 GA / $100 Beer Lover. Tickets include a commemorative tasting glass and reusable event spork.
The Maui Brewers Festival occupies a special place in Hawaii's craft beer landscape. As the annual fundraiser for the Maui Arts & Cultural Center — the island's premier performing arts venue — it merges two things Maui does exceptionally well: celebrate local culture and pour great beer. The festival takes place at the MACC's Alexander & Baldwin Amphitheater, an open-air venue with trade winds and mountain views providing the backdrop.
What sets the festival apart is its deep integration with the local community. Food is included with every ticket, sourced from Maui's own restaurants and caterers. The brewery lineup features a strong Hawaiian contingent — led by founding sponsor Maui Brewing Co. — alongside mainland craft breweries. The funds raised are vital to the MACC's mission, supporting approximately 1,700 arts, Hawaiian culture, community enrichment, and education events annually that reach more than 260,000 people.
